Frequently asked questions

Professionals of all ages, teachers, doctors, nurses, social workers, gap year students, college students, retirees, and cultural travelers aged 16+. Our Medicine & Healthcare internship accepts participants from 16 years old.

Placements run from 1 to 7 weeks on our listed packages, with extra weeks available on most programs. Many volunteers stay 2–4 weeks; longer stays are welcome subject to visa requirements and project availability.

We offer four focused programs in Kenya, all based in and around Nanyuki:

  • Community & Culture: cultural immersion and community experiences
  • Community Sports & Coaching: coach young athletes in local schools and clubs
  • Childcare & Community: support children and community projects
  • Medicine & Healthcare: clinical experience and healthcare placements

Most programs run year-round with flexible start dates. We accept applications on a rolling basis.There is no fixed deadline.

We encourage you to apply as early as possible once you have chosen a program. This gives you more time to prepare, arrange travel, and allows us to tailor your placement to your interests.
